Transparent, straightforward, and checked every month. Below you will find exactly which rates are used, how the site converts them into a price per trip and a price per month, what assumptions are built in, and where the sources come from.
This site only lists rates that are publicly published on the pricing pages of the providers themselves. The calculated price is always based on standard consumer subscriptions, without business packages or temporary discounts folded in. Current welcome offers (such as free driving credit or the first few months free) are shown too, but separately from the price and clearly marked as promotions, so the comparison stays fair.
Every price on this site comes from two simple formulas. First, the cost per trip is calculated:

The slider lets you set how often you drive per month. At 1 trip you see the cost of that single trip, including any subscription; from 2 trips onwards the monthly total, with the average price per trip alongside it (the monthly total divided by your number of trips). The subscription is therefore always built into the price shown, even for providers with a high subscription and a low per-trip rate.
For each option we show a fuel label (electric, petrol, hybrid or "partly electric"), determined per model. In a category search, "partly electric" appears when that price class contains both electric and fossil cars; the car you actually get then depends on availability.
Some providers charge an excess if you have not paid a deposit. This is included automatically once you uncheck the relevant option in the comparator. The deposit itself (a one-off amount, refunded when you cancel) is not included in the monthly cost, as it is not an expense.

A few cost items are intentionally left out of the monthly price, either because they are occasional or not directly tied to the trip itself:

If you click through to a provider via Deelautowijzer.nl and sign up there, the site may receive a small fee. This is not always the case and depends on the provider. For you there is no price difference.
The order of results is always sorted by price for your scenario, never by commission. You can check the sort order in the comparator's source code for yourself. There is no separate calculation rule per provider.
That provider still appears on the site. Affiliate revenue is a consequence of comparison, not a condition for inclusion. Any provider that publicly lists rates and offers consumer subscriptions can be included.

Rates are taken directly from the pricing pages of greenwheels.com, lochemenergie.org/deelautos, mobigo.nu, mywheels.nl, sixt.nl/share and vloto.nl, verified monthly. The per-kilometre rate is all-inclusive (fuel or electricity included).
Note: SIXT share uses dynamic pricing that varies by time, location and demand. The amounts shown are therefore "from" prices; the actual price in the app can be higher.
